More Than a Festival. A Destination in the Making.

     Roots n' Resin (RnR) is an Appalachian destination festival being developed to

celebrate the culture, creativity, music, craftsmanship, and hospitality that define our

region.

     Built from the ground up with tourism in mind, RnR is designed not simply as a

weekend event, but as an annual experience that attracts visitors, generates economic

impact, and creates lasting regional pride.

     Located in the heart of Central Appalachia, RnR brings together nationally recognized

musical artists, regional performers, artisan markets, local food and beverage, immersive camping experiences, interactive attractions, and authentic Appalachian storytelling. Every element of the festival is intentionally designed to encourage visitors to stay longer, explore the surrounding communities, and return year after year.

     Unlike many festivals that exist only within their gates, RnR is built around a partnership model. Local tourism organizations, businesses, nonprofits, artisans, outfitters, and community groups become part of the visitor experience. The festival serves as a gateway to the region's outdoor recreation, small-town charm, heritage, and entrepreneurial spirit.

     Our long-term vision is to establish Roots n' Resin as one of Appalachia's signature annual events—one that contributes meaningful economic activity through overnight lodging, campground occupancy, restaurant traffic, retail spending, and repeat visitation while strengthening the identity of the host community as a premier destination.
